Down pillow, wonderfully airy
Sleeping on a down pillow feels like resting your head on clouds. The general rule is that the higher the percentage of down, the softer the pillow feels. A down pillow is wonderfully soft and highly mouldable, making it easy to adjust to any sleeping position.
To maintain the volume of your down pillow, it is important to fluff it up daily. A down pillow can also be washed easily (always read the washing instructions on the care label first). To restore the volume of the down filling, it is best to place the pillow in the dryer for a short time.
A down pillow is suitable for every type of sleeper. However, if you prefer a firmer down pillow that offers more support for the neck, you may want to choose a box pillow. We highly recommend the Suverein box pillow.

Down Pillow, Wonderfully Full and Soft
Down has been one of the most popular and most frequently chosen pillow fillings for many years. We completely understand why. A down pillow is often wonderfully soft, while still providing excellent support for your head and neck. A down pillow is usually highly mouldable, allowing you to shape it to your preferred sleeping position. Down offers both excellent insulation, keeping your head pleasantly warm, and strong breathability. As a result, a down pillow does not tend to feel clammy. Down is also a very durable material, often lasting for many years while placing less strain on the environment. This means you are taking good care of both yourself and the planet.
There are different types of down pillows. The pillow cover can vary, ranging from 100% cotton and percale cotton to satin bamboo or even Tencel. The filling can also differ. A pillow may be filled with feathers, a blend of down and feathers, or another material, while some pillows are filled entirely with down.

Down Pillow, Duvet Doré
The Duvet Doré Platinum down pillow is the most exclusive down pillow in our range. This down pillow is filled with Mazurian goose down, which is considered to be of the very highest quality. The Duvet Doré Platinum pillow also features an exceptionally soft and supple cotton cover.
The best of both worlds is the Silvana Support Royale pillow. Its wonderfully soft and moisture-regulating bamboo/cotton cover, combined with the premium Suprelle® Fusion filling and built-in neck support, provides ultimate sleeping comfort. Suprelle® Fusion is a highly innovative filling material made from 60% high-tech recycled polyester fibres and 40% recycled down. This blend helps the pillow retain its shape well, providing reliable support throughout the night.
Down Pillow with Goose Down Filling
A pillow is extremely important, as it supports your head and neck during sleep, helping you relax properly and wake up feeling refreshed. A down pillow is durable, comfortable and provides the right support while you sleep. It is therefore one of the best-selling pillow types. A goose down pillow is easy to shape so that you can adjust it to your favourite sleeping position. Before going to sleep, simply fluff your pillow into the shape that feels most comfortable, and you are sure to enjoy undisturbed sleep. A goose down pillow has a wonderful quality: full, yet soft, while still feeling supportive.
Pay attention to the down content when buying a down pillow.
When buying a goose down pillow, the percentage of down is usually stated. The higher this percentage, the softer the down pillow will feel. If you prefer a firmer pillow, choose a lower down percentage. At Weids Living and Sleeping, you will find a range of down pillows, including a duck down pillow. These pillows sit in the slightly higher price segment, but they last for many years and offer excellent sleeping comfort.
Down Pillow
A down pillow is an excellent choice if you are looking for a comfortable pillow. The down used in these pillows is obtained in an animal-friendly way, so there is no need to worry about that. A down pillow combines perfectly with a down duvet, although of course you can also use a duvet with a different filling if you prefer. If your preference is for natural materials, a down pillow is an outstanding choice. At Weids Living and Sleeping, you will find different down pillows that you can order directly and have delivered to your home.
Frequently asked questions
Can you wash a down pillow?
A down pillow is filled with down and/or feathers. This filling can usually be washed, and this is often stated on the care label. However, we do advise caution, because with a down pillow it is very important that the down and feathers are dried thoroughly afterwards. If this does not happen, the feathers can stick together and form clumps. This is less comfortable to sleep on and can also cause a musty smell to develop. If you do want to freshen up your down pillow, keep this in mind and always follow the instructions on the care label.
How long does a down pillow last?
A down pillow has an average lifespan of around 5 years. A pillow generally has a much shorter lifespan than a duvet. If you start to feel clumps in the down pillow, if you wake up more often with neck or shoulder pain, or if your pillow has lost its original shape, then it is time to replace it. Fluffing your down pillow daily and airing it regularly will help maintain its quality for as long as possible. If you also use a pillow protector around your pillow, you will certainly notice the difference in the lifespan of your down pillow.
Can I refill a down pillow?
Unfortunately, a down pillow cannot be refilled. Quite simply, down disperses far too easily, which means that as soon as you open the pillow, you are likely to end up with down and feathers all over the room. So that is definitely not recommended.
