Camel Hair Duvet
Camel hair has excellent insulating properties while being softer and lighter in weight than shear wool. Thanks to its exceptional moisture-regulating abilities, a camel hair duvet is ideal for sleepers who tend to feel overheated. However, it may be less suitable for those with severe dust mite allergies.
Sourced from camels or dromedaries, camel hair is an animal fibre. These desert animals endure scorching daytime heat and freezing nights - their coats are perfectly adapted to these extremes. Essentially, camel hair offers the exact properties we desire for sleep: insulation when it's cold and breathability when it's warm. You'll find similar qualities in bamboo duvets.
Important note: To reduce costs, many "budget" camel hair duvets are blended with other wool types. As sleep specialists, we emphasise the quality and comfort of our pure camel hair products!
