The Ducky Dons Castella duck down pillow is generously filled with approximately 1400 grams of duck down. This makes the pillow quite high and therefore particularly suitable for back and side sleepers. This down pillow features a double ticking that prevents feathers from poking through the fabric. A wonderfully full and firm pillow at a great price!
Unlike materials such as memory foam or latex, duck down ventilates excellently. Additionally, the cotton ticking and the feathers effectively absorb the moisture you lose during sleep. This makes a duck down pillow a pleasantly cool pillow.
Washing and Maintenance
You can wash the down pillow yourself if necessary, but it is important to dry the down pillow in the dryer for more than three hours. However, we recommend having the pillow cleaned by a specialized company. Using a good molton pillowcase is highly recommended. With a molton pillowcase, you significantly extend the lifespan of your pillow. Additionally, sleeping with a molton pillowcase is hygienic and dust mite-free.
By gently fluffing the pillow daily and opening the bedroom window, the down can air out well and the pillow retains its resilience and shape for longer.

This Ducky Dons Castella pillow has the NOMITE, Downafresh® Greenline, and Oeko-Tex certifications. The NOMITE certification indicates that you are dealing with a product suitable for people with dust mite allergies. The Oeko-Tex certification guarantees that this duck down pillow is free from harmful substances that pose a risk to human health.
The Downafresh® Greenline certification is from the European Down & Feather Association (EDFA). This is an association of the most important down and feather processing companies in Europe. The label means that the down pillow meets the hygienic requirements of EN 12935, no aggressive agents are used in production, the down pillow is biodegradable after its useful life, the manufacturer adheres to the code of conduct regarding animal welfare, the origin of the filling material is documented, and the filling material is not obtained from 'live plucking'.

Fijn kussen, maar als ik er op slaap, neemt het heel fel de vorm van je nek en schouder aan, 's nachts draai ik het kussen dan wel eens om omdat je anders in gat slaapt...
Iedere ochtend het kussen opschudden is dus zeker nodig!
Fijn product maar ik twijfel over de levensduur, weet niet of het hoofdkussen na 1 jaar nog even kwalitatief zou zijn.
Geen rits, dus je kan geen dons uithalen of bijsteken, wat wel jammer is.
Af en toe komen er wat veertjes uit, die prikken door de kussensloop.

Ik was wat bang dat"eendenveren" wellicht iets te slap of zacht zou zijn. Dit is helemaal niet het geval, het biedt de juiste ondersteuning en licht prima!
