Merino Wool Duvet
The Merino sheep is one of the most well known sheep breeds in the world. It is the most common sheep breed globally and is widely praised for the quality of its wool. Thanks to its many skin folds, a single merino sheep can produce up to five kilograms of wool per year.
The Merino sheep excels not only in high wool production but also in the exceptional quality of its wool. Per square centimetre, a Merino sheep grows ten times more hairs than an average sheep. As a result, Merino wool has a very fine texture. This makes Merino wool duvet more expensive than shear wool duvets.
Unique in the world - Recycle with us!
Weids Living & Sleeping is pioneering sustainability in the sleep industry by being the first to implement a circular recycling program for sheep's wool!
When purchasing a wool duvet, you can request a free return label, with which you can send your old wool duvet back to us in the empty box at our expense. Your wool duvet will be completely recycled in our own recycling department.
The wool is thoroughly washed and, after a strict quality control, is circularly reused for other products, including beanbags for humans and animals. The duvet casings are disposed of and processed into, among other things, insulation material, cleaning cloths and building materials.
