Waterbed Mattress
Total relaxation and ultimate comfort. That’s what sleeping on a water mattress means. After even a short night’s sleep, you feel reborn. A water mattress offers perfect support, moulding itself to your body down to the smallest details. The even counterpressure of a water mattress promotes optimal blood circulation. Good circulation throughout the body is still a foundation for good health.
The core of a waterbed is, of course, the water mattress, made of vinyl. A shape-retaining foam edge with a safety liner keeps the highly flexible mattress in place. You set the waterbed temperature via a thermostat to your ideal level between 20 and 36 degrees..... It sounds — and is — all wonderful, but this is where we draw the line!
Why sleep on water when you can sleep on air instead?
Our Matrair air mattress offers exactly the same comfort as a waterbed, but without the disadvantages of a waterbed:
- A water mattress is heavy and can’t simply be placed in every bedroom.
- A water mattress uses a lot of electricity, as the water must always be heated.
- A water mattress requires a lot of maintenance; the water must be treated twice a year to prevent algae growth.
- The risk of a water mattress leaking is, as you can imagine, impossible to ignore.
A water mattress must always be heated and therefore needs to stay connected to electricity continuously to keep the water at temperature. The water must be maintained to prevent algae, and if the water mattress were to leak, the damage can be catastrophic.
Based on the above, we have therefore decided to stop selling waterbeds. We fully stand behind our Matrair Air Mattresses. Thanks to the pressure-relieving properties of the Matrair mattress, pressure points are a thing of the past. Ultimate support and pressure relief ensure you can sleep in exceptional comfort — and pain-free.
