Here’s a useful tip for those dealing with hard water: over time, terry cloth can bind with limescale, making the fabric stiff and scratchy. To restore its softness, soak the sheet for a few hours (or overnight) in a mixture of three parts warm water and one part natural vinegar. After soaking, wash it as usual, this will help the limescale dissolve, and your sheet will feel much softer.
