Wool can absorb up to 35% of its own weight in moisture. When the wool absorbs moisture, it simultaneously releases heat. This creates a balanced thermal insulation. In short, with a wool duvet, you’ll never sleep too hot or too cold again.

Another special property of (high-quality) wool is lanolin, also known as wool fat. This substance is dirt-repellent. However, the most important property of lanolin is its proven beneficial effect on muscles and joints. It’s no wonder that wool duvets and underlays have been praised for years by rheumatism patients.

Weids Living & Sleeping is pioneering sustainability in the sleep industry by being the first to implement a circular recycling program for sheep's wool!

When you purchase a wool duvet, you can request a free return label, with which you can send your old duvet back to us in the empty box at our expense. In our own recycling department, your duvet will be fully recycled with this filling material.

The wool is thoroughly washed and, after a strict quality control, is circularly reused for other products, including beanbags for humans and animals. The duvet casings are disposed of and processed into, among other things, insulation material, cleaning cloths and building materials.
