What is terry cloth?

What are the characteristics of a terry fitted sheet?

Terry care
Here is a tip for residents of the Netherlands, where hard (limescale-rich) wash water is common: Over time, terry can build up limescale, which makes it stiff and scratchy. If you soak it for a few hours (for example overnight) in a mixture of 3/4 warm water and 1/3 household vinegar, the limescale dissolves. Then wash the fabric according to the washing instructions.
