Wool Summer Blanket
A thin wool blanket is the perfect choice for the summer months or for cosy evenings on the sofa, thanks to its unique breathable properties. A wool summer blanket regulates temperature by retaining heat when it's cool and releasing excess heat when the temperature rises.
Additionally, wool can absorb up to 35% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp, ensuring a dry and comfortable environment even on the warmest days. As a result, a wool blanket keeps you from ever feeling too hot or too cold. These wool summer blankets fall into the lightest category, typically weighing between 200 and 350 grams per m², making them ideal for summer use on the bed and/or for snuggling up on the sofa in the evening.

Care Instructions for a Wool Summer Blanket
Caring for a wool blanket is simple. Thanks to the natural self-cleaning properties of wool largely due to the lanolin (wool fat) that remains in the fibres wool blankets are naturally dirt-repellent. This means they don’t need frequent washing. Regular airing is usually enough to keep the blanket fresh. Just make sure not to leave the blanket in direct sunlight, as this may cause the wool to fade or dry out.
If your wool blanket does get stained, try gently removing the mark with a bit of curd soap or green soap. If that doesn’t work, it’s best to take it to a dry cleaner that offers a special wool cycle. Avoid using a carpet beater or vacuum cleaner on your wool blanket, as these can damage the fibres and reduce its lifespan.
With proper care, you can enjoy the cosy softness and comfort of your wool blanket for years to come.
