Down Winter Duvet
With a down winter duvet, you can sleep wonderfully warm even during the cold winter nights. A down winter duvet is ideally suited for people who like a nice warm, but light and airy duvet and sleep in an unheated and/or poorly insulated bedroom.
Down is the soft, fluffy part that protects birds from the cold. Down consists of thousands of small pieces, which have an insulating effect. A winter duvet therefore keeps you wonderfully warm in the winter and at the same time nice and cool in the summer.
If you naturally perspire a lot, then a winter duvet is ideal for you. The still air, which is located between the down flakes, absorbs moisture very quickly, but releases it just as easily back into the outside air. If you perspire a lot, a down winter duvet will flatten somewhat quickly. You should then air the winter duvet more often, fluffing it up by hand can also help.
TIP! When your down winter duvet has become a little flat, give it a makeover in the tumble dryer (preferably a 'cool' or 'airing' programme). When you put a tennis ball in with it, your down winter duvet will be well fluffed up and it will regain its volume.
