Filling Weight of a Wool All-Year Blanket
There are still all-year blankets available with a weight of 400 g/m², like those traditionally made by brands such as Aabe. However, years of experience and expertise have shown that wool all-year blankets with a filling weight of approximately 500 g/m² are ideal for those who enjoy sleeping under a wool blanket all year round. A 500 g/m² wool all-year blanket provides just the right amount of warmth and breathability your body needs during spring and autumn.

Care Instructions for a Wool All-Year Blanket
Wool blankets are easy to maintain thanks to the natural properties of wool. Wool contains lanolin, a natural wool fat, which gives the blanket self-cleaning and dirt-repellent properties. Simply airing the blanket regularly will help it stay fresh and preserve its quality. However, avoid placing it in direct sunlight while airing, as this can cause the wool to fade or dry out.

If the blanket does get stained, gently try to remove the mark using curd soap or green soap. If this doesn’t work, it’s best to have it professionally cleaned by a dry cleaner using a wool-specific cleaning programme. Do not use a carpet beater or vacuum cleaner on your wool blanket, as this can damage the fibres and reduce its lifespan.

With proper care and attention, you’ll enjoy the soft, cosy comfort of a wool all-year blanket for many years to come.
