Memory foam mattress
Memory Foam is a unique type of viscoelastic foam, often referred to as NASA foam. This material originates from the aerospace industry, where research by NASA in the 1970s revealed that memory foam, used in space suits, provided optimal pressure distribution.
When you lie on a memory foam mattress, it responds to your body weight and heat, adapting to the shape of your body. You won’t experience any pressure points. Once you get up, the memory foam slowly returns to its original shape.
Memory foam also reacts to the ambient temperature. Especially in winter, it’s wise to let a new memory foam mattress acclimatise. If your bedroom is cold, the mattress may initially feel firm (which can be slightly uncomfortable when turning), but shortly after lying down, it will begin to mould to your body.
One drawback of older or cheaper memory foam mattresses still on the market is their dense structure, which made ventilation poor. Fortunately, this issue has since been resolved. Our memory foam mattress is made from the latest generation of memory foam, called Angel Pearl (AP). AP memory foam features an open-cell structure, allowing body heat and moisture to dissipate effectively and creating a fresh, clean sleeping environment.
A memory foam mattress is ideal for people with back or muscle problems, poor circulation, pressure sores, rheumatism, or simply for those who demand a high level of sleeping comfort.
