The pillow factory

We are particularly proud that approx. 90% of the pillows we sell are made here in Bitgum in our own pillow factory. This factory is mainly run by people with a distance to the labour market. Fantastic people, who just need a little more time, a little more support and a little more guidance.

Of course, we only work with sustainable raw materials in our pillow factory. Even the pillow bag is made from 100% recycled plastic. In addition, we will soon be sending the pillows rolled up, so that we send even less air. Rolling up the pillow does not have any impact on the quality of the pillow, it is simply the application of clever innovations.

Sustainable raw materials and use of 100% natural materials

As filling for our pillows we use sustainable sheep's wool balls and synthetic filling fibres, Aerelle ® Blue. These synthetic filling fibres are particularly special, because they are made from, among other things, ethically recovered sea plastic and plastic bottles. These are collected by the Plastic Bank - Social Plastic - and recycled into resilient fibre balls. This creates an environmentally friendly filling material that is also wonderfully soft. This guarantees a wonderful and carefree sleeping comfort.

Aerelle ® Blue is certified with EU-ecolabel and GRS and checked for traceability. These feel-good fibres with an environmental benefit are exceptionally comfortable and provide a balanced microclimate. Globally recognised as one of the most important solutions to stop ocean plastic.
