Organic Duvet
A organic duvet from Weids Living & Sleeping contributes to an ecological mark such as Greenline, the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and/or the Fairtrade mark. GOTS is an international standard for organic clothing and textiles. This way, we can guarantee that both the filling and the cover of these duvets have been produced in a sustainable way. This means specifically that no chemicals are used for the production and washing of an organic duvet (and its filling). So you can be sure that a duvet and pillow with this logo/certificate is completely clean and ecological.

DOWNPASS and RDS certified down
Although down is a by-product of the food industry, animal welfare remains just as important. To help safeguard this, there are independent certifications such as the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and DOWNPASS. Both are global standards that focus on the traceability of down and feathers as by-products of the food industry and set strict requirements for the supply chain. Compliance is audited by accredited, independent inspection bodies.

Tencel: eco-friendly, sustainable and fully biodegradable
Tencel is made from wood (eucalyptus) sourced from specially managed, sustainably operated forests. TENCEL® is therefore a 100% natural material and fully biodegradable. Tencel is, by definition, an eco duvet: choosing a Tencel duvet is a real treat for you, while also making a more sustainable choice. Our eco Tencel duvets carry the European PEFC quality mark and the international FSC certification. TENCEL® has also received multiple awards for its environmentally responsible production process.
Tencel is the brand name for Lyocell. Lyocell is a man-made fibre from a natural raw material and is considered one of the most sustainable textile fibres. In 1998, the Austrian fibre producer Lenzing AG and Hefel began working together. Hefel then became the first company in the world to produce a duvet cover fabric (ticking) made from Lyocell fibres, later known as Tencel. Weids Living and Sleeping sells exclusively eco Tencel duvets by Hefel. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a finer quality Tencel duvet.
