Which Duvet Type?
If your bedroom temperature fluctuates slightly throughout the year or if you can easily control it (e.g., by opening a window or using a heater), the Tencel All Year duvet is a good choice. For warm bedrooms or for warm sleepers, the Tencel Summer duvet is highly recommended. If you're unsure which type is best for you, we advise the Tencel 4-Seasons duvet. It consists of two parts, guaranteeing comfortable sleep all year round!
The Tencel duvet is easy to wash at home up to 40°C, ensuring fresh and hygienic sleep.
Our Tencel duvets and pillows feature the Oeko-Tex label, a stringent certification against harmful substances in textiles, established in 1992 to combat the use of harmful chemicals.
Sustainable Packaging:
The Tencel Exclusive duvet is rolled and sent in a bag made from 100% recycled plastic, eliminating the need for a cardboard box and saving thousands of kilograms of cardboard annually.
Tencel:
As soft as silk, as strong as polyester, as easy to care for as acrylic, as cool and pleasant as linen, as warm as wool, and much more moisture-absorbent than cotton. A breakthrough in fibers with a bright future.
TENCEL® is 100% natural and biodegradable, derived from wood from sustainably managed forests, certified by PEFC and FSC. It has received numerous awards for its environmentally friendly production process.
TENCEL® is highly functional, with excellent moisture permeability. Studies show 85% of people with sensitive skin prefer TENCEL® over other materials. It inhibits bacterial growth and eliminates dust mites within 6 weeks. No chemicals are used in its production, making it ideal for sensitive skin. Tencel absorbs moisture and distributes it across the surface, ensuring a pleasantly dry sleep environment.
The Secret of Tencel?
Tencel is the first cellulose fiber to derive its strength from nanotechnology. The concentrated and regular structure of its fibers allows for new functional properties, ensuring excellent moisture absorption and optimal moisture management. While the body releases at least 0.4 liters of perspiration during sleep, Tencel's superior moisture absorption keeps bedding dry and promotes restful sleep. TENCEL® absorbs over 50% more moisture than cotton, unlike polyester which absorbs none.
Lyocell (Tencel) is a man-made fiber of natural origin, made from wood pulp like viscose rayon, spun using a wet-spinning process. The key difference lies in the dissolution of wood fibers; viscose rayon's process is environmentally unfriendly, using harmful chemicals. Lyocell overcomes these drawbacks by using a new solvent (N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide) and a closed-loop process where the solvent is recovered. Lyocell shares properties with viscose but has better wet strength and wrinkles less. It is marketed as Tencel by the Austrian company Lenzing.
