Bamboo duvets, a wonderful experience
Bamboo feels wonderfully light and pleasantly warm. With a bamboo duvet you are assured of a comfortable night’s sleep. Bamboo is known for its excellent moisture-regulating and temperature-regulating capacity. Bamboo can absorb up to three times more moisture than cotton. As a result, clammy nights become a thing of the past.
We regularly receive feedback from customers that bamboo feels wonderfully airy. Bamboo is a very soft and flexible material, and you will immediately notice this as soon as you lie under it. Our bamboo duvet drapes smoothly around you. This is also largely due to the very fine and soft percale cotton cover (the casing) of the duvet. In addition, a bamboo duvet is also very easy to wash, which makes it not only pleasant and comfortable but also a very practical duvet for the bedroom. Whether you are looking for a single duvet or a double duvet, bamboo duvets are available in all sizes.

Lyocell bamboo duvet
Bamboo is a 100% natural product made from natural fibres. After processing, bamboo is often referred to as bamboo viscose. The viscose yarns are washed, bleached and dried before they are used to make bamboo fabric or filling. Bamboo can be produced as bamboo viscose or bamboo Lyocell. The difference lies in the production process, although both methods are suitable for turning wood into textile fibres. Viscose is a well-known and somewhat older process, whereas Lyocell is a relatively newer method.

Frequently asked questions about a bamboo duvet
What are the benefits of a bamboo duvet?
Sleeping under a bamboo duvet offers many advantages. First of all, bamboo is a 100% natural product, which means you bring an environmentally friendly duvet into your home. It also performs very well when it comes to temperature regulation and moisture regulation. With a bamboo duvet you are therefore less likely to experience clammy or stuffy nights. Bamboo is also naturally anti-allergenic, as it is resistant to bacteria and mould. A bamboo duvet is also easy to wash, making it an all-round fantastic and user-friendly duvet.
Why choose a bamboo duvet?
If you are looking for a duvet that feels light and airy, stays pleasantly cool in summer and is environmentally friendly, then bamboo is the material for you. Bamboo is known for its moisture-regulating ability. Cotton absorbs significantly less moisture in comparison. Bamboo is also a highly sustainable material; besides being environmentally friendly, a bamboo duvet also lasts a long time. That means you are doing both yourself and the rest of the world a great favour.
Which bamboo duvet is the best?
The bamboo duvet is available in three versions: the summer duvet (warmth class 4), the all-year duvet (warmth class 2) and the four-season duvet. With the 4-season bamboo duvet you have maximum flexibility, as it consists of the summer duvet and the all-year duvet that can easily be combined for colder winter nights. This way you always have the right bamboo duvet with the right warmth for every season. That is why we generally recommend the bamboo 4-season duvet. If you still have questions after reading this information, we will gladly advise you. Feel free to contact us. We are available both by phone and by email, and you can also use our chat function.
Is a bamboo duvet not too cold for a Dutch home?
Dutch homes are often well insulated. A bamboo duvet is perfect for the average bedroom temperature (16–18°C). However, if you live in an older, less insulated house and it freezes outside, a 4-season bamboo duvet (consisting of two parts) is recommended so that you retain enough warmth during winter.
Does a bamboo duvet develop a smell over time?
No, quite the opposite. A major advantage: bamboo is naturally antibacterial. Unlike synthetic duvets in which sweat odours can linger, bamboo remains fresh. It quickly releases moisture into the air, preventing unpleasant smells from forming.
Can a bamboo duvet go in the dryer?
Although bamboo fibres are strong, we recommend letting the duvet air-dry. Household dryers can often become too hot, which may damage the natural fibres. Fortunately, bamboo ventilates very well and therefore dries relatively quickly on a drying rack.
How does the price compare with down or wool?
Bamboo usually falls within the mid-range price category. It is cheaper than high-quality goose down but offers more luxury and comfort than a standard synthetic duvet. For value-conscious buyers it is a sustainable investment that will last for many years.
Does the filling shift inside the cover?
Most bamboo duvets are stitched in squares or channels. This keeps the bamboo filling perfectly in place, even if you are a restless sleeper.
Is bamboo really greener than cotton?
Yes. Producing bamboo requires up to 60% less water than cotton. In addition, bamboo grows without pesticides. For environmentally conscious sleepers, this makes it one of the most sustainable options for the bedroom.
