Otto Keller: German Craftsmanship in Down Duvets & Pillows
In the beautiful Altenberge, not far across the Dutch border, Otto Keller and his wife Elisabeth opened their "Bettfedernfabrik" in 1946. In the early years after the war, there was little to buy and money was scarce. Consequently, (Engineer) Otto Keller built his first machines himself. These would remain in service for a long time. After Otto Keller's death, Elisabeth ran the business for several years. In 1982, their son Wilhelm took over her position. He expanded the now medium-sized company into one of the largest down duvet and pillow manufacturers not only in Germany, but in all of Europe.
No. 1 in Europe At Home in all Aspects
Otto Keller is a so-called "vollstufige" down factory. This means that the entire production process takes place within the factory. From sorting and washing the down to stitching the casings. Due to its size, Otto Keller is a factory that can make a good product at a competitive price.
