100% pure new wool

The wool summer children's duvet is filled with the best quality new wool, sourced from lambs and sheep from Texel and Northern France, among others. An explanation for the good quality of Texel new wool is the living environment of the Texel sheep. Due to the harsh sea climate, Texel sheep endure more, giving this wool better resilience and higher insulating and ventilating capacity.

The Texel new wool of the Texels Classic wool summer children's duvet is carefully carded, aligning all fibers in one direction. Furthermore, the carded wool is stitched continuously as a fleece in the longitudinal direction with a double chain stitch between a 100% natural percale cotton ticking. This method of stitching ensures that the wool has plenty of room to 'open up', allowing the duvet to ventilate optimally and preventing you from getting too warm. Additionally, this gives the Texels Classic wool duvet a wonderfully airy feel, which makes the Texels Classic unique compared to other wool duvets.

A wonderfully soft and supple duvet

The ticking (cover) of this beautiful duvet is made of 100% percale cotton, BSCI certified! A very beautiful soft fabric that ensures this duvet drapes wonderfully soft and supple around you. Of course, this ticking is wool-tight, preventing any annoying wool hairs from poking through.

The all-year duvet is equipped with press studs and can therefore be easily connected to the other duvets from the Texels Classic multi-choice duvet collection. These press studs are, of course, on the side of the duvet so you never feel them. You can now easily buy the all-year duvet first and then decide later to also buy the Texels Classic summer duvet if you are still too cold. Both duvets together make it a wonderfully warm and extra warm wool winter duvet (warmth class 1+).

Anti-Allergenic

Our Texel new wool has a beautiful fine crimp and a high lanolin (wool fat) content. The quality of the crimp guarantees good insulation and ventilation. Mold formation in our wool duvets is therefore almost impossible. Molds need not only warmth but also a high degree of humidity. Because our wool ventilates excellently and regulates its own temperature, a wonderfully cool and dry climate is created. Pure new wool is therefore not a favorable environment for dust mites.

The lanolin ensures that the wool is self-cleaning, antibacterial, and dirt-repellent. Equally important, lanolin prevents the wool from becoming dry and 'prickly'. Due to the natural resilience of Texel new wool, the duvet always retains its shape. Breaking or crushing of the wool is excluded.

Naturally, this beautiful wool winter duvet is equipped with the Woolmark. With the Woolmark, you are assured that this duvet is filled with 100% pure new wool. The ticking (cover) of this duvet bears the Oeko-Tex quality mark and BSCI certificate. Oeko-Tex guarantees that the tested and certified textile is free from harmful substances that pose a risk to human health.

BSCI provides companies with a code of conduct that supports them in their efforts to establish an ethical supply chain. This code of conduct is based on international treaties that protect workers' rights. This includes the following key concepts: socially responsible policy, freedom of association, working hours and overtime, non-discrimination, combating child labor and forced labor, special protection for young workers, payment of a minimum wage, provisions for a safe and healthy workplace, environmental protection, and no precarious employment.

In composing this duvet, we have opted for a very high-quality ticking (cover) with a high thread count. In addition to the softness and suppleness of this fabric quality, another important argument is that we do not need to use a synthetic non-woven fleece. This fleece is for protection and to prevent the wool filling from poking through the ticking. With this, we can assure you that our duvet is indeed made from 100% natural materials.

Price busters, often choose a lower quality filling fiber and a cheaper ticking. They therefore have to use a synthetic fleece. By using a non-woven ticking, they cut costs on the filling and ticking, and they accept that you will not be sleeping under a 100% pure natural duvet.

Transparency
