With the Texels Classic wool winter duvet, you are purchasing a duvet that you are guaranteed to enjoy for years to come! The filling weight of this wool winter duvet is approximately 600 grams/m². The Texels Classic winter duvet (warmth class 1) is therefore most suitable for bedrooms with an average temperature below 15°C or when you are a very cold sleeper.

100% Pure Virgin Wool

The wool winter duvet is filled with the best quality virgin wool, sourced from lambs and sheep from Texel and Northern France, among others. A reason for the high quality of Texel virgin wool is the living environment of the Texel sheep. Due to the harsh sea climate, Texel sheep endure more, giving their wool better resilience and higher insulating and ventilating capacity.

The Texel virgin wool in the Texels Classic wool winter duvet is carefully carded, ensuring all fibers lie in the same direction. The carded wool is then stitched as a continuous fleece along the length with a double chain stitch between a 100% natural percale cotton cover. This stitching method allows the wool ample space to expand, enabling optimal ventilation and preventing overheating. It also gives the Texels Classic wool duvet a wonderfully airy feel, making it unique compared to other wool duvets.

A Wonderfully Soft and Supple Duvet

The cover (ticking) of this beautiful duvet is made from 100% percale cotton, BSCI certified! A wonderfully soft fabric that ensures this duvet drapes beautifully soft and supple around you. Naturally, this ticking is wool-dense, preventing any irritating wool fibers from poking through.

The winter duvet is equipped with press studs, making it easy to connect to other duvets from the Texels Classic Multi-Choice duvet collection. These press studs are, of course, located on the side of the duvet so you never feel them. You can now easily purchase just the winter duvet and later decide to also buy the Texels Classic summer duvet if you still feel too cold. Combining both duvets creates a wonderfully warm and extra cozy wool winter duvet (warmth class 1+).

The Texels Classic Multi-Choice collection consists of three other duvets, each available separately.

• The high summer duvet has a filling weight of approx. 120 grams/m²
• The summer duvet has a filling weight of approx. 200 grams/m²

For a Winter Duvet, we recommend purchasing a duvet with a length of 220 cm. This will ensure the duvet drapes generously over your shoulders, providing optimal sleeping comfort.

The Texels Classic Wool Multi-Choice duvets can be easily connected to each other using practical press studs. In an instant, you will always have the perfect duvet. Whether you use them as a single duvet or choose a combination (e.g., high summer + high summer or a high summer + all-year duvet), your choice will always be right!

Anti-Allergenic

Our Texel virgin wool has a fine crimp and a high lanolin (wool fat) content. The quality of the crimp guarantees good insulation and ventilation. Mold formation in our wool duvets is therefore virtually impossible. Molds require not only warmth but also a high humidity level. Because our wool ventilates excellently and regulates temperature itself, it creates a wonderfully cool and dry climate. Pure virgin wool is therefore not a favorable environment for dust mites.

Lanolin ensures the wool is self-cleaning, antibacterial, and dirt-repellent. Equally important, lanolin prevents the wool from becoming dry and 'prickly.' Due to the natural resilience of Texel virgin wool, the duvet always maintains its shape. Breaking or crushing of the wool is impossible.
