How do you keep your bedroom fresh?

Nothing is quite as pleasant as sleeping in a wonderfully fresh

and a freshly made bed. But fresh bedding isn’t the only thing that contributes to a better night’s sleep. Proper ventilation is just as important, and it’s best to keep cuddles with your pets to the living room. What will improve your sleep comfort?

Ensure there is sufficient oxygen

It is important to ensure proper ventilation in the bedroom. When you get out of bed, open a window (if possible) and let fresh air circulate through the room. Do you sleep with the door closed? Then make sure to keep it open during the day. This helps to keep your bedroom well ventilated.

Adding a plant can also contribute to better ventilation. Although opinions on this may vary, plants can certainly have a positive effect on a good night’s sleep.

Plants help to create better air quality. Their calming effect can reduce stress, which in turn contributes to improved sleep quality.

Plants that thrive well in the bedroom include:
- Aloe vera
- Jasmine
- Lavender

Do not place too many plants in your bedroom. During the day, they release oxygen, but at night this process stops and they actually absorb oxygen instead. However, this amount is so minimal that having a few plants does not outweigh their benefits.

keep furry friends away from your bed

We completely understand how lovely it is to cuddle with your dog or cat. However, doing so in bed isn’t exactly hygienic. Pets can leave behind a lot of bacteria and especially hair.

This can lead to unpleasant odours. It’s best to keep cuddle time with your loyal four-legged friend to the living room and keep your bedroom a fresh space just for yourself.

A fresh bedroom for a fresh state of mind

With these tips, you can ensure a fresh bedroom, a good night’s sleep, and hopefully an equally refreshed state of mind when you wake up the next morning.

keep your bedding clean

Many people wonder, “How often should I wash my bedding?” We recommend changing your bedding at least once a week. You might not realise it, but a bed quickly accumulates dead skin cells, sweat, and bacteria. A clean duvet cover creates a fresh and tidy feeling, which contributes to a better night’s sleep.

Tip! White bedding looks fresher and cleaner (although we wouldn’t necessarily recommend it if you have young children).

Tidy up that clothes chair!

A cluttered bedroom leads to a cluttered sleep. A neat and tidy bedroom creates calm and clarity, which will certainly have a positive effect on your night’s rest.
