Bamboo is proven to be antibacterial and antifungal and washable up to 40°C, more than sufficient to be completely anti-allergenic. Additionally, bamboo has excellent moisture-regulating properties, making it ideally suited as a filling for a duvet. The ventilating and insulating properties of a bamboo duvet are better than those of a cotton duvet. Furthermore, a bamboo duvet is also slightly lighter than a cotton duvet.

The Bamboo Comfort 4 Seasons Duvet consists of 2 parts: a summer part of approx. 150 g/m² (warmth class 4) and a spring/autumn part of approx. 300 g/m² (warmth class 3). The ticking of the Savanne Bamboo duvet is Oeko-Tex and BSCI certified. The Oeko-Tex quality mark guarantees that the tested and certified textile is free from harmful substances that pose a risk to human health. BSCI offers companies a code of conduct, which supports them in their efforts to establish an ethical supply chain. This code of conduct is based on international treaties that protect workers' rights. This includes the following key concepts: socially responsible policy, freedom of association, working hours and overtime, non-discrimination, combating child labor and forced labor, special protection for young workers, payment of a minimum wage, provision of a safe and healthy workplace, environmental protection, and no precarious employment.
The bamboo filling of the duvet has the FSC mark and guarantees responsible sourcing from sustainably managed forests and/or recycling. Wood and derived products or other forest products bearing an FSC claim can only do so if the processing chain from forest to end product is also controlled for traceability.
Sustainable Packaging
The Savanne Bamboo 4 Seasons Duvet is rolled up (by rolling it up, we make the duvet as compact as possible) and shipped in a storage bag made from 100% recycled plastic. This bag was specially developed for us, eliminating the need for a shipping box. This saves us thousands of kilograms of cardboard annually.
100% Natural and Fair Sleep Comfort!
In composing this duvet, we opted for a very high-quality ticking (cover) with a high thread count. Besides the softness and suppleness of this fabric quality, another important argument is that we do not need to use a synthetic non-woven fleece. This fleece is for protection and to prevent the bamboo filling from poking through the ticking. This allows us to assure you that our duvet is indeed made from 100% natural materials.
Price Cutters, often choose a lower quality filling fiber and a cheaper ticking. They therefore have to use a synthetic fleece. By using a non-woven ticking, they cut costs on the filling and ticking and accept that you will not be sleeping under a 100% pure natural duvet.
Transparency
We share this information with you partly because we always want to act honestly and transparently. On the other hand, it does not do justice to a bamboo duvet. If people complain that they bought a (cheap) bamboo duvet but found it too warm because the duvet doesn't breathe, you now know how that happened. We would say, take advantage of it!

Het belangrijkste punt van onderhoud is het dagelijks luchten van uw slaapkamer. Laat uw bed 's ochtends lekker open liggen, zodat het beddengoed goed kan ademen. Houdt u zich ook ALTIJD aan de wasvoorschriften op het waslabel.
Elke nacht verliest een mens huidschilfers, waarmee huisstofmijten gevoed worden. Allergieën voor deze mijten komen steeds vaker voor en het is daarom aan te raden om uw bedtextiel frequent te wassen en uw dekbed goed te luchten. Bij normaal gebruik is het reinigen van uw dekbed eigenlijk niet nodig. Als u het dekbed toch wilt wassen adviseren wij u deze naar een stomerij te brengen. Ook al staat er op het label van het dekbed dat u deze zelf kunt wassen. Het was- en met name droogproces vraagt heel veel aandacht. Het laatste wat u namelijk wilt is dat de vulling gaat klonteren en verschuiven.
Als u het dekbed wel zelf gaat wassen, kijk dan goed op het waslabel van uw dekbed voordat u aan de slag gaat. In verband met de vulling van het dekbed is het altijd verstandig om op een lage temperatuur te wassen en een fijnwasmiddel te gebruiken. Realiseer u dat het dekbed altijd iets (ca 3 a 4% zal gaan krimpen en de mooie glans van het dekbed vaak na het wassen zal verdwijnen.
Let er bij het in de wasmachine stoppen van uw dekbed op dat u niet propt. Het beste is om het dekbed eerst losjes op te vouwen en het dan voorzichtig in de trommel te plaatsen. Zo is het gewicht beter verdeeld en heeft u minder kans op een bonkende wasmachine of wasmiddel-vlekken op het dekbed. Let ook goed op de afmeting van het dekbed en of deze ruim in de wastrommel past. Wanneer het dekbed onvoldoende ruimte heeft om te draaien, wordt het dekbed veel te heet en gaat deze krimpen en klonteren!
Om de dekbedden goed te drogen moet deze in de droger. Maar stop er wel droogballen bij, zodat het dekbed goed geklopt wordt en de vulling goed los komt.
