A wool underblanket is a thick wool blanket of approx. 3 to 4 cm, which you place on the mattress. An underblanket ensures a wonderfully dry and warm sleeping climate throughout the night. Wool is characterized by its natural ability to retain heat. With a wool underblanket, you create a wonderfully cozy and comfortably warm sleeping place for your child. Your child will sleep much more peacefully because they will feel as if they are swaddled.
However, a wool underblanket is also highly recommended for children who tend to get too warm at night and for those who sweat excessively. Another quality of wool is its strong ventilating property and the fact that wool can absorb more than 35% of its own weight in moisture. A wool underblanket therefore means wonderfully soft and comfortable sleep all year round. During the warm summer months, it is wonderfully cool and dry, and in the cold winter months, it is pleasantly warm and cozy.

The filling weight of the underblanket is a wonderfully thick filling of over 1,000 grams per m². More than enough for soft and comfortable lying comfort. One side features a lovely wool fleece for maximum comfort. The other side is made of 100% fine percale cotton. You can choose which side you want to sleep on. The wool underblanket has elastic straps on all 4 corners to keep it securely in place.
Anti-allergy
The Texel virgin wool has a beautiful fine crimp and a high lanolin (= wool fat) content. The quality of the crimp guarantees good insulation and ventilation. Therefore, mold formation in our wool underblanket is not possible. Molds require not only heat but also a high humidity level. Because our wool ventilates excellently and regulates its own temperature, a wonderfully cool and dry climate is created. Pure virgin wool is therefore not a favorable environment for dust mites. The lanolin ensures that the wool is self-cleaning, antibacterial, and dirt-repellent. Equally important, lanolin prevents the wool from becoming dry and 'prickly'.
