Texels Classic Wool 4-season children's duvet - 2 parts!

With the Texels Classic wool 4-season children's duvet, you are purchasing a duvet that you are guaranteed to enjoy for years to come! The natural resilience of Texel virgin wool ensures the duvet always maintains its shape. The wool will not break or become matted.

100% pure virgin wool

The Texels Classic wool 4-season children's duvet is filled with the best quality virgin wool, sourced from lambs and sheep from Texel and Northern France, among other places. The harsh sea climate experienced by Texel sheep contributes to the wool's superior resilience and higher insulating and ventilating capacity.

The Texel virgin wool in the Texels Classic wool children's duvet has been carefully carded, aligning all fibers in one direction. The carded wool is then stitched as a continuous fleece lengthwise with a double chain stitch between a 100% natural percal cotton cover. This stitching method allows the wool ample space to 'open up,' enabling optimal ventilation and preventing overheating. It also gives the Texels Classic wool duvet a wonderfully airy feel, making it unique among other wool duvets.

A wonderfully soft and supple duvet

The cover of this beautiful wool children's duvet is made of 100% percal cotton, BSCI certified! A wonderfully soft fabric that ensures this duvet drapes beautifully and feels soft. Naturally, this cover is wool-tight, preventing any irritating wool hairs from poking through.

Sleep wonderfully all year round under the right duvet?

The Texels Classic wool 4-season children's duvet consists of a summer part filled with 225 g/m² pure Texel virgin wool (warmth class 4) and a spring/autumn part of 425 g/m² (warmth class 3). In winter, both duvet parts can be quickly and easily attached together using press studs, ensuring your child sleeps warmly and comfortably under the winter duvet (warmth class 1) even on the coldest nights.

Filling weight per duvet size

  • Toddler duvet: 100 x 120 cm - approx. 304 + 574 grams
  • Preschooler duvet: 120 x 150 cm - approx. 405 + 765 grams

Our Texel virgin wool has a fine crimp and a high lanolin (wool fat) content. The quality of the crimp guarantees good insulation and ventilation. Mold formation in our wool duvets is therefore virtually impossible. Molds require not only warmth but also high humidity. Because our wool ventilates excellently and regulates its own temperature, a wonderfully cool and dry climate is created. Pure virgin wool is therefore not a favorable environment for dust mites.

The lanolin makes the wool self-cleaning, antibacterial, and dirt-repellent. Equally important, lanolin prevents the wool from becoming dry and 'prickly.' The natural resilience of Texel virgin wool ensures the duvet always maintains its shape. The wool will not break or become matted.

Quality mark and assurance of pure sleep comfort!

Naturally, this beautiful wool duvet features the Woolmark. With the Woolmark, you are assured that this duvet is filled with 100% pure virgin wool. The cover of this duvet is Oeko-Tex certified and BSCI certified. Oeko-Tex guarantees that the tested and certified textile is free from harmful substances that pose a risk to human health.

BSCI provides companies with a code of conduct, supporting their efforts to establish an ethical supply chain. This code of conduct is based on international conventions protecting workers' rights. This includes the following key principles: socially responsible policy, freedom of association, working hours and overtime, non-discrimination, combating child labor and forced labor, special protection for young workers, payment of a minimum wage, provision of a safe and healthy workplace, environmental protection, and no precarious employment.

100% natural and honest sleep comfort!

For the construction of this duvet, we have chosen a very high-quality cover with a high thread count. In addition to the softness and suppleness of this fabric, another important reason is that we do not need to use a synthetic non-woven fleece. This fleece is used for protection and to prevent the wool filling from poking through the cover. This assures you that our duvet is indeed made from 100% natural materials.

Price bustersoften opt for lower quality filling fibers and cheaper covers. They must then use a synthetic fleece. By using a non-woven cover, they reduce the cost of the filling and cover, accepting that you will not be sleeping under a 100% pure natural duvet.

Transparency

We share this information with you because, on the one hand, we always want to act honestly and transparently. On the other hand, it does a disservice to wool duvets. If people complain about buying a (cheap) wool duvet that was too warm because it didn't breathe, you now know why. We would say, benefit from this knowledge!

Lanoline is vuil afstotend.
