With the Savanne Spitsbergen 4 seasons duck down comforter, you sleep under one of our most beautiful duvets. Super light, wonderfully soft, and with fantastic warmth comfort.
The Savanne Spitsbergen 4 seasons consists of a wonderfully light summer duvet (warmth class 4) and a slightly thicker spring/autumn duvet (warmth class 3). You can easily connect the summer duvet and the spring/autumn duvet using pillow buttons. This way, you can easily create a wonderfully warm winter duvet. With the Savanne Spitsbergen 4 seasons duvet, you sleep wonderfully all year round.
The spring/autumn duvet is cassette stitched with raised baffles to prevent cold bridges. The summer duvet is square stitched. The square stitching keeps the duck down and feathers together in nice compartments.
The ticking (the cover) of the Savanne Spitsbergen 4 seasons duvet is made of 100% percale cotton with a satin piping and features the Nomite® label. Down duvets with the Nomite® label have a very tightly woven exterior that prevents house dust mites from penetrating. Additionally, the duvet is equipped with the Downafresh® hygiene label. This guarantees that the down has been carefully cleaned and dried. This ensures you of the best night's sleep.
The Savanne Spitsbergen 4-season down duvet is washable at 60 °C. However, for a longer lifespan of your down duvet, washing at home is not recommended. Daily airing (by opening a window) and shaking is sufficient to keep your duvet fresh and voluminous. For a thorough wash, we recommend taking the duvet to a dry cleaner.

Origin
All down and feathers processed by our suppliers come from (primarily Dutch) slaughterhouses. This means that this down and feathers come from ducks and geese that are raised for consumption, then slaughtered, and only then are they stripped of their down and feathers. Down and feathers are not the most important products of the duck or goose; it is naturally about the meat.
Since May 2000, European legislation prohibits live plucking. Weids Wonen & Slapen fully supports this legislation and we are committed to ensuring that its compliance is strictly monitored internationally. Weids Wonen & Slapen knows its suppliers and regulates the supply chains of the raw materials delivered to it. This means, in concrete terms, that Weids Wonen & Slapen informs its suppliers that 'live plucking' is unacceptable, that the origin of the raw materials must be stated, and that raw materials from suspicious countries and sources cannot and will not be accepted.
RDS certified - Responsible Dutch Duck Down
Down! A superior filling material that most people love to sleep under. The down from ducks and geese has been processed in Savanne's down duvets and pillows for many years. Although down is a by-product of the food industry, animal welfare is no less important to Savanne. Savanne only wants to process down from ducks that have been treated well. To guarantee this, all Savanne down duvets and pillows will henceforth be produced according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS).
Savanne down duvets and pillows certified according to the Responsible Down Standard meet strict animal welfare requirements. This means that the down in these products comes only from ducks that live healthily, do not suffer pain, and do not experience fear or stress. The down is also traceable throughout the entire production chain, with only products with certified down carrying the RDS logo. The entire production chain, from farm to final product, is periodically checked by the independent certification body Control Union.
