The Nova Scotia duvet from Savanne is filled with 100% pure European goose down of the very best quality. Goose down is the soft, fluffy part that protects the goose from the cold in winter. At the same time, this down prevents the goose from getting too warm in the summer. The strong properties of goose down are its perfect warmth, excellent moisture regulation, and the lightness and airiness of the duvet. With the Nova Scotia spring/autumn duvet, you are assured of wonderful and comfortable sleep for a large part of the year.
Goose Down vs. Duck Down Goose down clusters are larger than duck down clusters. Therefore, the fill power of goose down is better than duck down. This allows a goose down duvet to be filled lighter than a duck down duvet in the same warmth class. This fill power guarantees a super light, supple, and voluminous duvet. The higher the fill percentage, the lighter, softer, and more supple the duvet is. The Nova Scotia duvet, filled with 100% goose down, is therefore the lightest, softest, and most supple down duvet in our range and certainly belongs to the top of the down duvet segment.
Spring & Autumn Duvet The Nova Scotia spring/autumn duvet is cassette stitched (with upright baffles) to prevent cold bridges. If your bedroom temperature remains reasonably cool and consistent year-round, you can sleep under the spring/autumn duvet all year round. If the temperature rises significantly during the summer months, a nice thin and cool summer duvet (square stitched, warmth class 4) is recommended.
This spring and autumn duvet is a so-called multi-choice duvet. This means it can optionally be combined with the thinner and cooler summer duvet (warmth class 4). This is also available separately. During cold winters, you can easily connect these two parts by means of buttons. This will create a wonderfully warm winter duvet (warmth class 1).
If you want to be set for the whole year at once, we recommend the Nova Scotia 4 seasons duvet. You will then purchase both duvet parts at a very advantageous price in one go.
Quality Marks
The Nova Scotia goose down duvet guarantees excellent heat and moisture regulation and feels wonderfully soft and supple thanks to the luxurious cotton satin ticking (NM 150). This ticking/fabric does not crackle at all and is equipped with the Nomite® label. Down duvets with the Nomite® label have a very tightly woven outer fabric that prevents house dust mites from penetrating.
The Nova Scotia duvet also features the Downafresh® hygiene label. This guarantees that the down has been carefully cleaned and dried. Additionally, this duvet also has the DOWNPASS quality mark. The DOWNPASS indicates that the down and feathers from waterfowl (ducks and geese) used as filling material in duvets and pillows are obtained in an ethically responsible manner and are also subjected to strict quality control.
The Nova Scotia duvet naturally also has the Oeko-Tex certificate. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a testing and certification system for textiles. The standard focuses on limiting the use of harmful substances in relation to the health of the end user. Although the label is focused on the health aspects of the textile product, the guidelines for the use of harmful substances also overlap with the ecological dimension of sustainability.

Warranty With the purchase of this beautiful Nova Scotia spring/autumn duvet from Savanne, you receive a 3-year warranty on manufacturing defects!
Origin The Nova Scotia duvet from Savanne is produced by renowned manufacturers in Europe. A true quality product! All down and feathers used are sourced from slaughterhouses. This means that this down and feathers come from ducks and geese that are raised for consumption, then slaughtered, and only then are they stripped of their down and feathers. Down and feathers are not the primary product of the duck or goose; the meat is.
Since May 2000, European legislation prohibits live plucking. Weids Wonen & Slapen fully supports this legislation and is committed to ensuring strict international compliance. Weids Wonen & Slapen knows its suppliers and regulates the supply chains of the raw materials supplied to it. This means, in concrete terms, that Weids Wonen & Slapen informs its suppliers that live plucking is unacceptable, that the origin of the raw materials must be stated, and that raw materials from suspicious countries and sources cannot and will not be accepted.
Order extra affordably!
This wonderfully full down pillow Suverein from Savanne is generously filled with approx. 1200 grams of duck down (15%) and duck feathers. Thanks to this fine mix, it is a wonderfully full and fluffable pillow that provides good support for your head and neck.
Sleeping on a down pillow is like sleeping with your head on clouds. You can sink your head into it wonderfully. Down has been used as a filling for pillows and duvets for decades. Thanks to the natural curl of the duck feathers, this Suverein pillow has good resilience. The duck down ensures that this pillow feels wonderfully voluminous and soft.
Anti-allergenic and dust mite free
The Suverein down pillow is extremely suitable for people with a house dust mite allergy. Because down ventilates well, an unfavorable living climate is created for the house dust mite (house dust mites thrive in a humid environment). The Suverein pillow is washable up to 60°C. More than enough to be 100% anti-allergenic! To restore the volume to your down pillow, it is best to put it in the dryer for a while.

Fantastisch!!
Review byMarion
