A NASA memory foam topper is essentially a 'thin' mattress made of memory foam. The purpose of a mattress topper is to increase comfort and/or to conceal the seam between 2 mattresses. Mattress toppers are also increasingly being purchased for campers, caravans, or boats. Often, these mattress toppers need to be custom-made. Mattress Core

Our memory foam mattress topper is made from the latest generation of memory foam. This memory foam does not harden when cold and ventilates many times better than traditional memory foam. Thanks to the unique cell structure of this material, the memory foam offers excellent pressure-relieving and ventilating properties.

Sleeping Comfort of Memory Foam

Our memory foam mattress topper accurately conforms to the contours of the body under the influence of body temperature and body weight. The even distribution of body weight over the lying surface prevents pressure points on blood vessels, nerve pathways, and the spine and neck vertebrae. All muscles relax, and you move much less during sleep, which improves your sleep quality. This memory foam mattress topper is double-sided. Regular turning and flipping extends its lifespan. This mattress topper has a core of approx. 5 cm memory foam. The total thickness of the mattress topper is approx. 7 cm.

Latex vs. Memory Foam vs. Cold Foam

• Latex has more resilience (provides counter-pressure) than Memory Foam. This ensures that your body weight is well distributed and supported by the latex topper. Additionally, your body will experience little to no counter-pressure. Latex is a pleasantly flexible mattress.
• Cold foam is firmer than Latex and will provide more counter-pressure. Recommended if you prefer a firmer mattress.
• Memory foam, on the other hand, conforms completely to the contours of your body, making you feel like you are lying in the mattress rather than on it. Memory foam is therefore an extremely soft mattress.
• The 'molding' effect of memory foam, combined with its dense cell structure, makes memory foam warm. Cold foam is firmer than latex and falls between latex and memory foam in terms of temperature regulation. A latex mattress topper ventilates best and therefore sleeps coolest.

An Ideal Combination

Please note, memory foam conforms to your body but does not provide as much support as a latex or cold foam topper. Therefore, it is important that the current mattress on which you place a memory foam/NASA topper provides sufficient support. It should not be sagging. The underlying surface must provide adequate support. If the mattress underneath has a dip, for example, placing a topper on top will be of no use. Therefore, we recommend a firm pocket spring mattress with a cold foam top layer or a cold foam mattress that allows sufficient air circulation. This would be the perfect combination with a NASA memory foam topper.

The Cover of the Mattress Topper

This comfortable mattress topper comes standard with a fine mattress cover. The mattress cover is double jersey, quilted, and filled with 300 grams of Dacron. However, for even more sleeping comfort, we offer you a choice of several variants, each with its own specific properties:

• Cool & Fresh Ticking
  This is specially developed to stay cool and fresh. It is a well-breathing ticking that also regulates body temperature effectively. This filling provides wonderfully soft comfort and excellent ventilation.
• Bamboo Ticking
  Due to the bamboo fibers, the mattress ticking acts like an air conditioner, cool in summer and warm in winter! Bamboo fibers have a highly absorbent porous structure that allows the fabric to absorb moisture and perspiration more easily and faster than cotton or (semi) synthetic fabrics. Bamboo textile is a very comfortable, silky soft, environmentally friendly, bacteria-resistant, quick-drying, and cooling material. Bamboo naturally contains a unique component that prevents and repels fungi and harmful bacteria.
• Tencel Ticking
  The Anti-Allergic Tencel mattress cover offers the ideal solution for people sensitive to allergens. Tencel® is 100% natural and environmentally friendly, absorbs 2 times more moisture than cotton, has a cooling effect, is 3 times stronger than cotton, and is silky soft, supple, and luxurious. Additionally, Tencel is naturally antibacterial without chemical additives. Because Tencel® wicks away moisture so well, bacteria have no chance to grow, and your mattress cover stays fresh and clean longer. Thanks to its anti-allergy, anti-dust mite, and anti-bacterial properties, you can now enjoy a good night's sleep on your own mattress without worry.

Equipped with Zipper

The mattress cover has a 3-sided zipper, so you can easily zip it around your mattress core. The mattress cover is washable at 60 degrees, but we recommend 40 degrees. Especially if the washing machine is very full, the temperature in the washing machine often gets much higher, and the last thing you want is for the cover to shrink. Our mattress covers are made in the Netherlands and meet strict production requirements. This mattress cover is free of toxic substances, anti-allergenic, and free of bacteria and dust mites.

3D Ventilation Band and Piping

The mattress cover is double jersey quilted, which ensures good ventilation. As an additional option, this can be further reinforced with an extra 3D ventilation band with honeycomb, which is then applied around the mattress ticking. This is highly recommended for hygiene and durability. For the shape retention of the mattress topper, we recommend a piping edge.

What is a split topper?

A 2-person mattress topper with a split (has a slit at the top and bottom) is suitable for adjustable bases and ensures that both bed bases can move freely and independently of each other. A split topper is made especially to order for the customer and therefore cannot be returned. The right of withdrawal therefore does not apply.

Delivery

We can deliver your new mattress topper within a few days. The mattress topper is delivered rolled up in a transport bag, so no unnecessary packaging waste is created. The topper is easy to transport because even large sizes are folded and rolled, so each package is only 80 cm high. This makes the packaging not only environmentally friendly but also very practical. When you open the packaging, the mattress topper will return to its original shape within a few hours, and you can sleep soundly immediately.
