Pima cotton is known for being extremely soft and durable. Kayori's pima cotton is GOTS certified, meaning it is 100% organic. Silk is a beautiful luxury material of 100% natural origin. Silk is known for being extremely soft and shiny. It is also absorbent and quick-drying. Did you know that silk can absorb up to one-third of its own weight (approx. 30%) without feeling damp? Dust mites cannot survive in silk. Silk is like a desert for them. This makes the fabric anti-allergenic and suitable for people with asthma and/or dust mite allergies. This makes silk bedding popular with people suffering from conditions like night sweats or heat. For comparison: cotton absorbs only 8.5% moisture. The cover has a total length of 260 cm with a double tuck-in strip across the entire width. The product is delivered in a beautiful gift packaging depicting the ancient Silk Road. To ensure the quality of the product, we have compiled washing instructions that match your new Kayori product. Follow these enclosed washing instructions carefully.

LEIZU collection

The discovery of silk took place in the garden of Empress Leizu in China. Along the imperial garden grew many plants, flowers, and trees, giving color to the palace. The mulberry trees in the garden suddenly began to lose their leaves. Empress Leizu noticed the damage and began to investigate. She discovered many cocoons in the trees, made by small worms, and suspected they were causing the leaf loss. During a break, a cocoon accidentally fell into a hot cup of tea, and the empress saw a small thread detach from the cocoon. She noticed that the thread was extremely strong and soft and decided to experiment with it. She then built a loom that would turn the threads into fabric. After a fabric was produced, she further discovered the beauty, comfort, and softness of silk.
