A wool underblanket is a thick wool blanket of approx. 3 to 4 cm, placed on the mattress. An underblanket ensures a dry and warm sleeping climate throughout the night. Wool is naturally very good at retaining heat. Ideal for people who get cold quickly at night and for those with muscle and joint pain.
However, a wool underblanket is also highly recommended for people who get too warm quickly at night and for those who sweat excessively. Another quality of wool is its strong ventilating property and the fact that wool can absorb more than 35% of its own weight in moisture. A wool underblanket therefore means wonderfully soft and comfortable sleep all year round. It's wonderfully cool and dry during warm summer months and comfortably warm during cold winter months.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) was developed to further process organic cotton, wool, and other organically grown fibers into sustainable clothing or textiles. The standard sets requirements for factories regarding the use of harmful chemicals and sustainable production. Anti-allergy
The organic virgin wool has a very fine crimp and a high lanolin (wool fat) content. The quality of the crimp guarantees excellent insulation and ventilation. Mold formation in our wool underblanket is therefore not possible. Molds require not only warmth but also high humidity. Because our wool ventilates excellently and regulates its own temperature, a wonderfully cool and dry climate is created. Pure virgin wool is therefore not a favorable environment for dust mites. The lanolin ensures that the wool is self-cleaning, antibacterial, and dirt-repellent. Equally important, lanolin prevents the wool from becoming dry and 'prickly'.

An underblanket with a split (has a slit at the top and bottom) is suitable for adjustable beds and ensures that both halves can move freely and independently.
