The Hefel organic wool pillow is firmly filled with approx. 900 grams of Merino-like quality virgin wool balls. Merino wool is a 100% natural fiber with a very strong crimp (curl) and a high lanolin (wool fat) content. This crimp makes a pillow filled with Merino wool airier and gives it a higher insulating and ventilating value than a pure wool pillow.
Anti-allergenic
Mold formation in a wool pillow is virtually impossible. Molds require not only warmth but also a high level of humidity. Because wool is very breathable and regulates its own temperature, molds cannot nest in it.
Anti-dust mite
Because wool contains lanolin, it is self-cleaning, antibacterial, and dirt-repellent. Pure virgin wool in a pillow is also not a favorable environment for dust mites, as wool ventilates optimally and regulates temperature and moisture levels. If you ensure that your pillow is aired regularly, dust mites will not stand a chance.
Organic satin-woven and padded cotton ticking
The organic wool pillow features an organic satin cotton ticking. This satin ticking is exceptionally fine and feels super soft. The organic cotton has never been in contact with pesticides or other harsh chemicals, making it clean, safe, and skin-friendly. It meets the strict requirements of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Additionally, this ticking is padded (filled) with 100% organic cotton for even more comfort and softness.
